Role Description/Criteria

Marian College invites applications from outstanding educational leaders eager to join a dynamic team in a role of trust and influence. In these roles, you will work closely with the Principal and the new College Executive Team to realise our vision, strategic plan, and educational goals, enhancing student outcomes. You will serve as inspirational mentors for teachers, guiding their ongoing professional practice and development. As a Catholic College, the Assistant Principals must actively commit to Catholic Education and support a culture that reflects our Catholic ethos, the Brigidine Charism, and Kildare Values.

The Application must include:

  1. A Cover letter (no longer than 2 pages)
  2. A statement (no more than four pages) addressing each of the following key selection criteria:
  • A commitment to Catholic Education and the Kildare Education Ministries values.
  • Expert understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices unique to girls’ education 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships both within and outside the College community.
  • Proven experience in leading whole school change initiatives and providing high-level leadership that incorporates research and best practices to enhance school culture and improve student and staff learning and growth.
  • Exhibit strategic and agile thinking, including an ability to work within a collaborative decision-making structure
