Underpinning our academic and wellbeing programs are the core values of wonder, courage, hope, hospitality, compassion and justice. Innovative curriculum and effective pedagogy equip Marian students with skills, values and capabilities that enable them to continue to learn, respond to challenges, contribute to the community and to ‘do well in life’.
There is an integrated approach to combining academics and wellbeing in our learning program and all learning takes place in an environment that is both challenging and supportive.
We encourage our students to exemplify the characteristics of the Marian Learner, developing a true love of learning. Marian Learners are curious, creative, adaptable and collaborative whilst being brave in their learning, willing to seek challenges and take a risk. Students should seek, reflect and act on feedback, identifying their next learning steps, forging their individual identity and pathway.

Senior Years (10, 11, 12)
Year 10 is the first year of our senior years program with a diversity of electives on offer and the option for students to build Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Units into their Year 10 Program. As an alternative to the standard Year 10 Program, students may choose the Applied Learning Program where they can complete Foundation VCAL Units, whilst still participating some core and elective Year 10 subjects.
